Job summary

DCS Corp is seeking an Electro-Optical (EO) Scientist to help develop and integrate technologies for Naval ISR applications at the Naval Research Laboratory. The position blends hardware and software development, including concepts and designs that lead to prototypes and field-tested systems; you will test, evaluate, and refine sensors in both laboratory and real-world environments.

Responsibilities include updating interface control documents, power and communication schematics, and traveling

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required due to sensitive customer requirements.
• PhD and at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Must be willing to apply for a DoD clearance and maintain it.
• Experience working in a laboratory environment.
• Must be willing to travel to support test events and conferences.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts and designs leading to a prototype system.
• Integrate systems with command and control, power, and data collection subsystems.
• Develop and update design documents such as Interface Control Documents (ICD) and power/communication schematics.
• Test and evaluate prototype sensors in laboratory and field environments.
