E Ink Corporation is seeking a hands-on hardware engineer to build, maintain, and improve instruments used to advance electrophoretic display technologies. You will join a lean, collaborative team and contribute to both new instrument development and existing equipment for R&D and product development.

The role emphasizes electronics, test systems, embedded engineering, and practical lab problem solving, with a strong focus on hardware and instrumentation rather than software.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building, troubleshooting, or maintaining hardware and test systems.
• Proficiency with electronic lab equipment and data analysis tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills for complex hardware/software integration.
• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Physics or related field or equivalent hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop electro-optical tests and instruments for R&D and product development.
• Collaborate with scientists to translate test needs into hardware solutions.
• Develop automation scripts for instrument control and data collection.
• Design experiments to characterize display performance and drive schemes.
