Job summary

Paragon is seeking a Mechanical Technician I to join our Fort Worth, Texas office. The Mechanical Technician is responsible for performing tests and inspections of a wide variety of mechanical and electro-mechanical components.

Responsibilities include building test setups, evaluating faults, and documenting results with strong attention to detail. This role requires effective communication across functions and proficiency with Word/Excel. Paragon is an equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Requires 5 years of prior experience in manufacturing testing.
• Able to communicate effectively across all functions in the organization.
• A high attention to detail with good documentation skills, and able to write legibly.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (file organization, email, etc.).
• Proficiency with Regulators, Pressure Gauges, DMMs, Pressure Modules, Calipers, and basic tools.
• Working knowledge of valves, motors, actuators, positioners, chiller and HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide variety of complex electro-mechanical components
• Design, fabricate and implement test set ups to meet testing requirements
• Perform failure analysis of various components
• Perform fit, form, and function comparison analysis of replacement components
• Dedication/qualification of commercially available components for safety related applications in nuclear utilities
• Testing and troubleshooting with digital oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, wave generators and assorted test equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks
• Additional duties and tasks assigned by management
