Job summary

RPS Recruitment is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Test Technician in Irvine, CA. This hands-on role focuses on electrical testing, building fixtures, wiring harnesses, and troubleshooting assemblies with close collaboration to engineering teams.

You will operate oscilloscopes, hi-pot testers, multimeters, and power supplies to support current projects and help implement test setups and procedures. Independence and practical problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience in electrical and electromechanical testing.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Strong working knowledge of oscilloscopes, hi-pot testers, multimeters, power supplies, and general electromechanical test equipment.
• Experience building test fixtures and wiring harnesses; ability to conduct functional testing and troubleshoot.

Responsibilities

• Building and supporting electrical and electromechanical test fixtures, equipment, and wiring harnesses.
• Conducting hands-on functional testing and troubleshooting electrical and electromechanical assemblies.
• Working alongside an electrical engineering consultant to implement test setups, configure equipment, and support testing procedures.
• Supporting the development and execution of testing activities for current engineering projects.
• Collaborating with internal engineering and assembly teams to resolve technical issues.
