Job summary

Packsize is seeking a hands-on Test Engineer to join the Testing & Development team in Louisville, KY. You will plan, execute, and analyze tests for Packsize machines and related systems to ensure product quality, reliability, and performance.

You will collaborate across Engineering, Quality, Production, Materials, and Field Service to drive data-driven improvements. The role requires strong troubleshooting, experience with electro-mechanical systems, and the ability to manage multiple

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
Experience with electro-mechanical systems and automated machinery.
Ability to collect and analyze data using Power BI and Databricks.
Experience documenting tests and procedures.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test procedures, and test reports for Packsize products and subsystems.
Independently perform hands-on testing of electro-mechanical systems, software features, consumables, and integrated machine functionality.
Lead PFAT, life-cycle management testing, NPD testing and customer-specific validation activities.
Analyze test data to identify trends, defects, performance gaps, and opportunities for product improvement.
Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, controls, software, and system-level issues.
Define acceptance criteria, testing methodologies, and data collection requirements for new and existing products.
Document test results, findings, risks, and recommendations in Qase, ADO, SharePoint, and other company systems.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Production, Materials, and Field Service teams to investigate and resolve product issues.
Support machine setup, configuration, commissioning, and test readiness activities.
Design and improve test fixtures, tooling, automation concepts, and test processes to increase testing efficiency and repeatability.
Mentor Test Technicians and provide technical direction during test execution activities.
Participate in design reviews and provide feedback regarding product testability, reliability, manufacturability, and customer impact.
Support field investigations, customer escalations, and validation efforts as required.
