Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Dubuque, IA, seeks a multi-skilled maintenance electrician with a current state licensing and strong troubleshooting skills to support electrical and mechanical systems including PLCs, drives, servo and CNC equipment. The role emphasizes safety, mentoring apprentices, and TPM/CI improvements.

You will diagnose, repair and maintain motors, conveyors and switchgear, read diagrams, and participate in continuous training while working in a team-oriented environment on-site.

Qualifications

• Journeyman or Master Electrician License (preferred).
• Advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, reasoning and analytical problem-solving.
• Competent at electrical building wiring installed to NFPA 70 code (preferred).
• 2-year technical degree or equivalent plus ongoing training annually.
• Understand basic electrical circuits and safety requirements.
• Understand PLC, drives and controls, and their basic operation.
• Able to use VOM and non-contact testers to check energized circuits.

Responsibilities

• Provide multi-skilled maintenance support focused on safety, quality, cost and productivity in TPM/CI.
• Mentor and coach apprentice electricians.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems (PLC, Drives, HMI, CNC).
• Operate and maintain CNC machining equipment, mills, lathes and grinders.
• Read pneumatic diagrams and measure vibration; calibrate components as needed.
• Promote a safety culture and ensure LOTO practices are followed.
