Andersen WindowsLocust Grove, GA is seeking an Electro/Mech Technician to advance production equipment through advanced troubleshooting and maintenance. You will apply PLC, servo, HMI, CNC, and MES integration know-how to monitor, control and improve manufacturing processes, while promoting electrical safety and mentoring other technicians in a fast-paced facility.

The role requires a strong technical background, multi-skilled capabilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent past work experience.
• 10 years experience in related fields strongly preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot PLC and electromechanical aspects of manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read mechanical, fluid power, electrical, and building prints.
• Knowledge of safety practices such as lockout/tagout and PPE.
• Familiarity with panel building and machine building practices and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot production equipment including PLC, drives, servo, HMI, CNC and MES integration.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and document results.
• Fabricate and install fixturing, guarding and machine parts.
• Assist in TPM objective deployment and continuous improvement efforts.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to teammates.

If you're an innovative thinker passionate about technical leadership and operational excellence, apply now!PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Multi-skilled electrical mechanical technician with advanced competency troubleshooting and supporting production equipmentTrained on all electrical hazards and is an advocate for our electrical safety programsAdvanced troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with issues of intermediate complexity in advanced electrical/mechanical systems (PLC, Drives, Servo, HMI, CNC, etc.)Advanced knowledge of internal networks and MES equipment integrationUnderstands the National Electrical Code (NFPA 79) to enforce code that applies to all electrical installationsAdvanced usability of volt-ohm-millimeters (VOM), vacuum tube volt ohmmeters (VTVM), field effect transistor volt-ohm-millimeters (FETVOM) and digital multimeters to measure DC current, DC voltage, AC voltage and resistanceAdvanced understanding and demonstration of Drive Systems, Lineal Systems, Actuating and Clamping SystemsAdvanced understand of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, schematics, and the operation of all componentsAdvanced knowledge and use of hand tools and machine shop equipment, the proper use of all test equipment used to perform all Multi-trade repairs of production equipment as well as dust collection and material handling equipment (pallet lifts and fork trucks).Evaluate equipment for any repairs, enhancements, or upgrades and complete work as neededComplete preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled, and document finished workMachine implementation including, rigging, leveling, facilities (air, hydraulics, dust collection and safety) along with testing and modifying as needed to prepare machine for productionFabrication and installation of all needed fixturing, guarding and any machine parts needed.
