A leading company in medical technology is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to build, install, and test electromechanical products. Responsibilities include providing hardware configuration support and ensuring compliance with documentation standards. Ideal candidates will possess a technical diploma and relevant experience in electronics assembly and wiring.
Position Summary:
The Electro-Mechanical Techniciansinstall, repair and upgrade Mevion equipment.This work includes the assembly of small and large parts for complex electromechanical equipment including, precision alignments and complex final alignments using systems with live electrical power. This position is responsible for providing primarily hardware configuration and testing support in the manufacturing and final testing, and continuous improvement of medical device products.
Builds, installs and tests electro-mechanical assemblies for Mevion product.
Builds and tests electrical cables and harnesses.
Builds and tests electrical distribution equipment.
Assembles and tests plant switch gear, motor control centers and electrical distribution systems.
Provides AC power feeds for precision high power DC and RF power devices.
Assembles, tests, and installs high current and high voltage power cables.
Provides controlled documentation of assembly procedures.
Provides controlled documentation of component alterations to update as-built drawings and diagrams.
Assembles electronics cabinetry, back planes, PLC racks and other signal equipment.
Specifies and assists in acquisition of tools and equipment.
Other job-related duties as assigned.
Able to train lower-level technicians
Education, Training, and Experience:
Technical diploma or five years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with mid complexity electronics chassis builds from mechanical assembly. drawings, schematics and wire run lists.
Experience with point-to-point wiring, clean room practices, vacuum.
Ability to work under limited supervision.
Skilled with the use of power and hand tools, particularly wire strippers, crimpers, solder stations, and digital multimeters.
Reads and understands technical prints and schematics.
Capable of documenting assembly processes.
Experience with controlled documentation and FDA compliance.
