Job summary

Mohawk Industries, a leading global flooring manufacturer, is seeking a maintenance technician to ensure safe, efficient operation of manufacturing equipment at our Thomasville, NC facility. You will service and repair machinery, plan preventive maintenance, and support process improvements across production lines.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and maintenance experience; an associate degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environment required.
• Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Manufacturing Maintenance, or related technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machinery and equipment.
• Learn production equipment processes to support troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks and activities.
• Monitor equipment performance and respond to routine maintenance needs.
• Utilize testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Plan and implement process improvement initiatives and equipment modifications.
• Attend job-related training and follow SOPs.
• Perform housekeeping and other duties as required.
• Work with maintenance, production, and engineering teams.

What We Need:

Provide mechanical and electrical maintenance support to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of manufacturing equipment whilemaintainingproduct quality and production performance.

WhatYou’llDo:

Responsible for servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machinery, devices and equipment related to the manufacturing process.

Learn production equipment processes and operations to support troubleshooting and maintenance activities.

Execute assigned preventive maintenance tasks and activities.

Monitor equipment performance and respond promptly to routine maintenance requirements.

Utilize mechanical and electrical testing equipment, tools, and required paper or digital resources to complete assigned tasks.

Plan, support, document, and implement process improvement initiatives, techniques, and equipment modifications.

Apply machining, electrical, and mechanical trade skills to complete daily maintenance tasks.

Attend job-related training as required by management.

Follow all established standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Perform general housekeeping and workplace organization duties as required.

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

What You Have:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Prior maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing environmentrequired.

Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Manufacturing Maintenance, or a related technical field preferred.

WhatYou’reGood At:

Experience with high pressure hydraulics, pneumatics, and automated material handling utilizing 480vac VFD’s, and PLC control logic troubleshooting.

Machining, welding, and light fabrication skillspreferred.

Ability to produce and communicate technical reports.

Ability toutilizenecessary digital tools, including email and work orders.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

Ability to work collaboratively with maintenance, production, and engineering teams.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What Else?

This position requires the team member to work with machinery in an environment where there may be fluctuating temperatures, andadditionaldepartment-specific variables. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) will berequired, and may include hearing protection, safety shoes, high-visibility clothing, and eye protection.

Other working conditions may include working12 hourshifts and a fixed shift rotation, including holidays.

Must be able tolift upto 50lbs.;bending, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs arerequired.
