Job summary

General Dynamics - Ordnance and Tactical Systems in Saco, ME is seeking an Electromechanical Technician to install, align, maintain and repair CNC machinery and PLC controlled equipment. The role requires troubleshooting complex electrical, electronic and mechanical systems and collaborating with engineers and production teams to keep lines running.

The ideal candidate will have extensive automation maintenance experience, CNC repair skills, and the ability to wire new equipment and program

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two-year degree in Electronics or equivalent experience preferred.
• Must have extensive experience in automated equipment maintenance.
• CNC repair experience required.
• Requires basic computer skills and may need to enter data into forms or databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct other maintenance trades for repairs of equipment.
• Work closely with Engineers, Programmers, Supervisors and production staff.
• Wire new equipment and program basic machine functions and axis movements.
• Inspect machines for conformance to standards and troubleshoot controls.
