Position Overview:

Multi-skilled technician with primary responsibilities of maintaining equipment in a proactive manner and troubleshooting and repairing both mechanical and electrical abnormalities on all production-related equipment. Perform all preventative maintenance as scheduled to eliminate unplanned stoppages, increase asset utilization, and build operator technical capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

Skilled in the service and repair of production-related equipment, with extensive knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, chain and belt drives, bushings, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, valves, seals, gaskets, mechanical fabrication, and rigging. Demonstrates the capability to adhere to work standards and comply fully with safety permitting and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements. Proficient in electrical service and repair, with knowledge of power distribution, motors, transformers, control devices, fluid control, electronic controls, VFDs, and PLCs. Committed to safety and proper tool use.

Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components of equipment including:

• Packaging equipment, conveyor systems, storage and transport systems
• Preventive/Predictive maintenance and creating follow-up notifications in SAP
• Completing work in a timely manner following standards and best practices
• Providing technical training to operators for knowledge transfer
• Performing equipment improvements and enhancements for production optimization
• Participating in problem-solving and continuous improvement teams
• Updating maintenance procedures and optimizing preventive maintenance
• Managing spare parts to maximize warehouse service factor

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Trade school diploma/certificate in industrial maintenance or related field preferred
• Ability to work overtime, irregular hours, holidays, or rotating shifts
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical components and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with 480V systems
• Ability to work in a high-speed environment with a sense of urgency
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills; PLC experience desired
• Experience with CMMS or SAP preferred
• Effective communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently or in a team in diverse conditions
• Ability to read and understand ladder policies and safety procedures
• Food manufacturing experience is preferred
• English proficiency; bilingual in English/Spanish preferred
• Ability to use test tools and interpret technical documents

The approximate hourly pay is $33.00 to $37.00/hr. Final compensation may vary based on knowledge, skills, abilities, and location.
