Job summary

Dematic is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 3 at our Stafford, VA site. The role focuses on day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance for material handling equipment.

The position operates on a 12-hour rotating schedule (12pm–12am) and requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varied conditions. Base pay range is $33.00-$35.00 per hour, with final compensation determined by location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or vocational training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, component lubrication.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
• Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.
• Create and close work orders into asset management system with data such as labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
• Troubleshoot semi-complex problems and determine resources needed to resolve them.
• Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
• Perform routine maintenance and equipment testing to ensure specifications are met.
• Respond to service calls and correct equipment failures and faults.
• Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

Job description

The Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 3 is responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance. Acts as a material handling technician on all equipment that is installed at the Stafford, VA site location. 12pm - 12am 12hour rotating days.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $33.00-$35.00 an hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

What We Are Looking For

• High School diploma or equivalent required. Typically, an Associate degree or vocational technical training preferred. Specialized skill training/certification preferred.
• Demonstrate a general knowledge of a technical or specialty area.
• Proven experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of position and key responsibilities as presented above.
• Able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds each.
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
• Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.
• Have functional dexterity in both hands and wrists.
• Able to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.
• Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces.
• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours.
• Flexibility in covering multiple shifts and holiday hours as required.
