Job summary

Dematic in Minden, Nevada is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 3 for night shift to troubleshoot and maintain conveyors, DMS, sorters, and robots. You will perform preventative maintenance, document work, and use electrical test tools to diagnose circuits.

The role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, with helpful associate-level training. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and cover irregular hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent experience. Associate's degree or equivalent experience helpful. Specialized skill training/certification preferred.
• Able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds.
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
• Ability to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.
• Flexibility to cover multiple shifts and holiday hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belt tracking and component adjustment/replacement.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
• Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.
• Build and close work orders into the asset management system with data on labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
• Troubleshoot semi-complex problems and determine resources needed to resolve them.
• Locate and supervise spare parts from inventory.
• Perform routine maintenance and equipment testing to ensure they meet specifications.
• Respond to service calls and repair equipment faults.
• Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to address them.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships across all levels of the organization.

Specialized skill training/certification preferred.* Demonstrate a general knowledge of a technical or specialty area.* Confirmed experience in the area of responsibility and successful demonstration of position and key responsibilities as presented above.* Able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds each.* Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.* Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.* Have functional dexterity in both hands and wrists.* Able to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.* Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours, and wet or uneven surfaces.* Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10–12 hours.* Flexibility in covering multiple shifts and holiday hours as required.
