Qualifications

• Strong electrical automation engineering skills.
• Troubleshoot, repair, install and perform preventative maintenance on chemical pumps, vacuum pumps, chillers, agitators/mixers, hot oil systems, ovens, and related equipment.
• Basic welding skills.
• Solid understanding of plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems.
• Basic PLC and VFD knowledge; advanced PLC skills are a plus.
• Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot automated systems, including computer-controlled systems.
• Repairs and troubleshooting of chemical processing equipment including pumps, vacuum pumps, chillers, agitators/mixers, hot oil systems, ovens, and other chemical processing equipment.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance activities on all equipment and tracks data on findings.
• Performs general maintenance repairs to building and facility.
• Installs electrical wiring and equipment; new electrical services, wiring during remodeling projects; replaces and repairs wiring as needed.
• Repairs electrical equipment and control circuits; replaces faulty electrical switches; repairs refrigeration equipment.
• Basic troubleshooting of PLCs and VFDs.
• Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
• Assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structures.
• Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.

Description

Designs, installs, maintains and troubleshoots automated systems and machinery. Performs routine preventative maintenance and repair procedures on Chemline buildings, mechanical equipment and utility systems.

Essential Functions

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot automated systems, including computer-controlled systems.
• Repairs and troubleshooting of chemical processing equipment including pumps, vacuum pumps, chillers, agitators/mixers, hot oil systems, ovens, and other chemical processing equipment.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance activities on all equipment and tracks data on findings.
• Performs general maintenance repairs to building and facility.
• Replaces broken windows; repairs doors, door locks and closets; installs window blinds.
• Completes daily, weekly, and monthly checklists on building equipment maintenance procedures and maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
• Installs electrical wiring and equipment; new electrical services, wiring during remodeling projects; replaces and repairs wiring as needed.
• Repairs electrical equipment and control circuits; replaces faulty electrical switches; repairs refrigeration equipment.
• Basic troubleshooting of PLCs and VFDs.
• May repair electrical locks and control panels to maintain building security.
• Responds to emergency maintenance requests as required.
• Assists with the renovation/remodeling of buildings; repairs plaster and drywall; paints building structures.
• Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
• Performs outside custodial duties such as snow removal as required.
• May obtain estimates for supplies, repair parts; orders parts as needed.

• Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, electrical systems, mechanical systems, etc.
• Basic PLC and VFD knowledge and troubleshooting skills. Advanced PLC skills are a plus.
