Job summary

Battelle Memorial Institute in Ohio seeks an Electro-Mechanical Technician for the West Jefferson campus. You will perform advanced diagnostic analysis using schematics and system knowledge, and work with engineers to meet project schedules.

You will train and guide junior staff, oversee tasks, and contribute to continuous improvement by sharing expertise in mechanical and electrical assembly, diagnostics, and problem solving within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and a minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical/mechanical assembly or related field.
• Demonstrated mechanical and/or electrical diagnostic skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability and independent work style.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and schedule monitoring.

Job Summary

We are currently seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician. This position is located at our West Jefferson, Ohio campus.

Responsibilities

• Conducts advanced diagnostic analysis of products using schematics, diagrams, and system knowledge
• Works independently on special products and in conjunction with engineers to meet defined schedules

Key Qualifications

• High school diploma and a minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical/mechanical assembly tasks, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field; a technical degree may be required
• Demonstrated mechanical and/or electrical skills relevant to assembly and diagnostic work
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision across multiple concurrent tasks
• Ability to manage competing priorities and contribute to schedule monitoring and resource planning

Compensation Data

Battelle is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is $45,600 - $63,800 per year, in addition to our comprehensive benefits package. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to education, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications. Salary ranges may vary based on geographic location and market conditions.
