Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electro Mechanical Technician to join our Plymouth, MN team. This role involves assembling, testing, and validating automated machinery, robotics, and custom equipment builds according to engineering drawings and documentation.

You will wire control panels, install pneumatic systems, perform precision alignment, troubleshoot with controls engineers, and support field service as needed.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or equivalent in automation, mechatronics, and machine building.
• Experience with automated machinery, robotics, or custom equipment builds is desired.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and pneumatic diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components, frames, fixtures, subassemblies, and robotic systems per drawings and docs.
• Perform precision alignment of actuators, sensors, and tooling.
• Wire control panels, sensors, motors, and power systems per schematics.
• Route cables and harnesses for neat, serviceable installations.
• Support engineers with I/O checkout, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain build notes and accept changes for engineering updates.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across engineering and manufacturing.
