Job summary

Teasdale Latin Foods is hiring an Electro-Mechanical Technician I in California. This unionized role focuses on preventive maintenance, inspections, and routine repairs for production, packaging, and facility equipment.

The EMT I works under supervision, escalating complex issues and documenting work in the CMMS. The position requires basic mechanical aptitude, reliability, and the ability to read diagrams and schematics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Industrial maintenance certificate or equivalent training preferred.
• 1–3 years industrial maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and routine repairs on production, packaging, and facility equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues (conveyors, bearings, chains, belts, gearboxes, pumps, valves, seals).
• Perform basic electrical checks and component replacement as trained and authorized.
• Document work in CMMS with details and follow-up actions.
• Support PLC-controlled equipment and routine improvements under supervision.
• Follow safety policies and wear PPE; communicate status during shifts.
