Job summary

Astemo Ltd. in Tarboro, NC, seeks an engineer to support manufacturing process development and quality systems for electro-mechanical products.

You will help develop processes, verify processes meet specs, and document requirements for customers. The role requires a four-year degree in a related field or a two-year degree with related experience, plus knowledge of SAP, FMEA, control plans, and IPC/quality standards.

Qualifications

• 4 year College Degree in Related Field (ME, EE, IE, etc) or 2 year Degree + 2 years related work experience
• Sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems to assist with decisions related to Electro-Mechanical Processes
• Well organized, attention to detail and able to handle multiple deadlines and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills to prepare and present technical information to all levels of management and customers verbally and written.
• Experience with development of SAP, Control Plans, FMEA’s, Process Operations Standards, etc.
• Ability to lead projects obtaining the support of multiple departments
• Analytical skills to understand product and process change points impact.
• Highly efficient with personal computers and common applications such as Windows, MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, MSProject, Minitab.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Process Development — Support the creation and refinement of manufacturing process flows and quality systems during new model introduction.
• Documentation Preparation — Develop and maintain required documentation for internal stakeholders and external customers.
• Process Verification — Ensure that manufacturing processes consistently produce products that meet all specifications and requirements.
• Quality System Reporting — Communicate quality system status, risks, and mass‑production readiness to company leadership and customer representatives
