Job summary

Siemens in Wendell, NC is seeking an Electro-mechanical Quality Test Technician for our production team on the 2nd shift to perform final tests and inspections on Low and Medium Voltage equipment, such as switchgears, switchboards and breakers.

You will work 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, earn an hourly rate of $26.29 with a $1.50 shift differential, and contribute to continuous improvement while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience wiring or electrical testing.
• Ability to perform final inspections on electrical equipment with precision.
• Experience with various test equipment.
• Proficient in reading schematics, layouts, and wire lists for troubleshooting.
• Basic English proficiency (reading/writing/speaking).
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform final electro-mechanical inspections on units per QA standards.
• Conduct nondestructive tests and troubleshoot failures; implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain inspection and quality reports; collaborate with Engineering and Wirers.
• Adhere to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies and pursue continuous improvement; be a team player.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.

We are looking for an Electro-mechanical Quality Test Technician for our production team on the 2nd shift. This position will be based in Wendell, NC.

The Electro-mechanical Quality Test technician is responsible for performing final test and inspection duties on Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment, such as Switchgears, Switchboards and Breakers .

Shift Hours: 3:00PM- 11:00PM

Hourly Rate: $24.79 + $1.50 Shift Differential

Basic Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience of electrical wiring or electrical testing.
• Ability to conduct thorough final inspections on all electrical equipment, ensuring precision and attention to detail.
• Experience with various test equipment.
• Proficiency in reading schematic drawings, layouts, and wire lists for circuit troubleshooting.
• Basic proficiency in English, including reading, writing, and speaking.
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer – sponsored work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Residential or commercial electrical education or certifications.
• Experience with Hi-pot testing.

• Perform final electro-mechanical inspections on units, ensuring adherence to company quality standards and guidelines.
• Conduct nondestructive tests on equipment according to specifications and drawings, troubleshoot failures, and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain inspection and quality reports, working professionally with Engineering and Wirers during tests and reporting findings.
• Adherence to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies, with a commitment to continuous improvement and be a strong team player.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
