Job summary

Siemens in Munhall, PA is seeking an electro-mechanical assembler to build PCB subassemblies for rail communications products. You will follow prints and BOMs, perform SMT and through-hole soldering, and work in an ESD-safe, 5S environment.

The role requires basic math, good communication, and 1+ year of assembly experience. Training is provided to expand skills and contribute to quality and waste-reduction initiatives.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ year of electro-mechanical assembly experience.
  • Foundational soldering ability; basic computer literacy.
  • Effective written and verbal communication.
  • Basic math and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exposure to IPC standards: IPC-A-610, IPC-J-STD-001, or IPC-A-620.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble component parts into PCB-based subassemblies in an ESD-safe environment.
  • Select and place electronic components and perform soldering.
  • Twist, bend, and trim leads; perform wire crimping and stripping.
  • Execute SMT operations and through-hole soldering as required.
  • Uphold 5S and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
  • Support quality and process improvements and assist adjacent teams.

Join our Rail Electrification team as we assemble communications equipment used by operators nationwide.Role SnapshotReport to a Production Supervisor/Team Leader and assemble component parts into PCB-based subassemblies for rail communications products.
