Job description

The Position

Please note there are day, swing, and night shift positions available. Positions will work front half back half and includes one weekend day each (10 hour or 12 hour workdays).

Hillsboro Technical Operations (HTO) is a drug product & finished goods manufacturing organization responsible for the reliable delivery of Roche's commercial portfolio & pipeline products. The Operations organization at HTO is divided into 3 value streams, which combine to produce millions of units of life-saving medicine every year for patients around the world.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will perform various tasks required to formulate and fill sterile pharmaceutical products in a state-of-the-art, automated production and packaging facility. Your responsibilities include troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving production equipment, participating in planned maintenance, coaching and developing team members, and ensuring operations comply with cGMPs, SOPs, and company standards.

  • Perform setup, changeover, and test runs of equipment for various production formats, optimizing system performance during production.
  • Support investigations to identify root causes of equipment failures or process deviations and implement corrective actions.
  • Apply expertise to troubleshoot and improve automated equipment/system operations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs.
  • Use system documentation to troubleshoot systems and perform Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) safely.
  • Participate in equipment installations, validation activities, and process improvements as part of project teams.
  • Train and develop operations staff technically.
  • Conduct environmental monitoring activities as required.
Who you are
  • You hold a two-year Associate's Degree in Electro-Mechanical disciplines (e.g., Aerospace, Automotive, Food & Beverage, Semiconductor).
  • You have 5-10 years of experience supporting complex mechanical or electrical equipment.
  • You understand mechanical systems like pumps, motors, valves, and conveyors.
  • You understand instrumentation, PLCs, control circuitry, feedback loops, and control systems.
  • You can work all shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) and overtime as needed.
  • You can lift 45 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • You can pass all job-related tests and certifications for a cGMP environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with manufacturing processes involving washing, filling, conveying, sealing, inspection, and packaging.
  • Proficiency in aseptic techniques, environmental monitoring, and cGMP controls, with a good understanding of GDP and electronic documentation systems.

The salary range for this position in Hillsboro, OR is $58,500 - $134,000, based on experience and qualifications. A discretionary annual bonus may be available. Benefits are detailed at the provided link.
