Job summary

Honeywell is seeking an Mfg Engineering Technician (Finance) to operate and support electronic assembly equipment according to approved instructions and schedules. You will perform setup, changeover, startup checks, and tool preparation, while supporting SMT processes, monitoring conditions, and escalating issues when needed.

You will also conduct preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and basic repairs, documenting parts used and outcomes, and assisting engineers with trials and process changes.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in electronics or related field; practical experience considered.
• Typically 2+ years supporting automated manufacturing or electronics assembly.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, sensor, and control systems.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, manuals, and schematics.
• Ability to use basic hand tools, multimeters, gauges, microscopes, and diagnostic equipment.
• Clear written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Operate and support electronic assembly equipment per instructions and schedules.
• Set up, changeover, startup checks, shutdown, cleaning, and tool prep.
• Support SMT processes including printing, SPI, placement, reflow, AOI, and wave solder.
• Monitor process conditions, identify alarms, defects, and instability, and escalate as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance, lubrication, cleaning, calibration, and part changes.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and control-system issues with diagnostics.
• Replace components; document parts used and follow-up needs.
• Assist engineers with installation, trials, process changes, and new product builds.
• Collect data on production, downtime, and maintenance to identify improvements.
• Maintain logs, checklists, and equipment records; ensure safety compliance.
