Contract Role · La Porte, IN · Weekly PayJoin Pro Services Workforce Solutions as a Maintenance Technician II embedded onsite with a leading aerospace investment casting facility producing jet engine components. You’ll be a Pro Services employee on the customer’s maintenance team in a true multi-craft position with a strong emphasis on electrical troubleshooting and hands-on problem solving.A day in the lifeYour shift begins with a quick scan of the CMMS, picking up reactive work while planning your preventive and predictive tasks. A production line goes down—control voltage reads off. Meter out, Megger ready: you isolate faults from 0–24V control circuits through 110–240V single-phase and up to 480V three-phase. You verify fuses, trace I/O module status lights, and diagnose Allen-Bradley PLC hardware issues at the cabinet. Software changes? Automation has it—you focus on the hardware to restore uptime.Between calls, you rebuild a gearbox, inspect bearings, swap seals and shafts, and service pneumatic and hydraulic components—on/off and proportional valves, basic pump rebuilds, and seal replacements. You install and test machinery, spec and pull spares, and document everything in the CMMS. You’ll stay moving—expect 6–7 miles of walking per day—coordinating with operators and leaning on strong electrical and mechanical engineering support for complex issues.About the facilityAerospace investment casting plant in La Porte, IN serving top jet engine manufacturersClean, well-run environment with robust safety programs (fall protection, confined space) that are truly followedCollaborative culture grounded in Safety, Integrity, Pride, and TeamworkNon-union operation with expanding back-shift coverageWhat you’ll bring5–10 years in industrial maintenance with a balanced electrical/mechanical background4+ years diagnosing and repairing electrical issuesComfort across control voltage, single-phase, and 480V three-phase systemsProficiency with a multimeter and Megger, plus strong cabinet-level troubleshootingHands-on work with motors, relays, wiring, and sensorsIntermediate mechanical skills: rebuilds, bearings, shafts and seals, gearboxesFoundational hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge (valve direction, airflow basics)CMMS experience and clear communication with operatorsAbility to operate single-man scissor liftsReading, writing, and basic math skills; High school diploma or GEDNice to haveAdvanced electrical or mechanical depthFluency in electrical/mechanical schematicsExperience with servos, VFDs, transformers, and I/O modulesPLC hardware troubleshooting, HMI exposure, or robotics experienceBackground with ultra-high vacuum systemsCNC maintenance experienceHydraulic cylinder rebuilds; positive displacement, air diaphragm, or centrifugal pumpsBasic to intermediate welding (MIG, TIG, Stick)Scissor and boom lift and forklift experienceTraining and scheduleStart on 1st shift for training6–9 months working alongside senior technicians to learn the facility and equipmentPost-training assignment to 2nd or 3rd shift (availability for either is required)Shift hours: 1st 6:00 AM–2:00 PM (Mon–Fri); 2nd 2:00 PM–10:00 PM (Mon–Fri); 3rd 10:00 PM–6:00 AM (Sun–Thu)Weekend coverage every 4 weeks on your regular shift hoursTypical overtime: 2.5–5 hours per week; ~17 hours on weekend-coverage weeksCompensation and benefits$33.50 – $35/hr based on experience, paid weeklyPro Services is employee-owned (ESOP)100% of medical insurance premiums paid by Pro starting Day 1 (single and family)Vision and dental insuranceMatching 401(k)Vacation and holiday payWork environment and PPEWalk 6–7 miles per shift; ~90% on your feet; ~60% walkingLifting/carrying/pushing/pulling 21–50 lbs under one-third of the shift (35+ lbs requires team lift or device)Frequent squatting, kneeling, crouching, bending/turning; stairs, ramps, ladders, scaffoldsSurfaces may be wet, slippery, narrow, or irregularNormal vision required: color, depth, and field of visionProvide your own EH-rated safety boots with metatarsal guard; uniforms and standard PPE provided on siteComplianceMust be legally authorized to work in the United States.
