Overview

EM1 – Electro-Mechanical 1 position to support daily production needs and capital project activities at the Omaha agro-chemical manufacturing site.

Duties
  • Hands-on experience with control systems for air compressor, boilers, HVAC and packaging equipment.
  • Experience in low voltage power distribution, circuit protection and fuse replacement.
  • Experience in installation, setup and maintenance of control equipment including flow switches / meters, photo eyes, proximity switches, level transmitters / switches, DP cells, pressure and temperature transmitters.
  • Maintains function and reliability of production and facility systems and associated equipment by executing a preventive maintenance program; Inspects electrical and automation systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
  • Able to install EMT and rigid conduit.
  • Performs preventive / corrective maintenance and investigates problems with mechanical equipment including gear boxes, gear pumps, rotary air locks, bagging machines, conveyor systems, heat exchangers, etc., following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
Qualifications

Critical knowledge: High School diploma or equivalent.

Critical experience: Minimum 3 years, 5 years preferred, electrical maintenance experience in an industrial setting or in the military.

Critical technical, professional and personal capabilities: Electrical and mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, capable of operating a forklift, continuous learning, applied learning, teamwork, managing work & time, safety awareness.
