Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the 2nd shift in Winston-Salem, NC. The role focuses on preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment and plant systems, including the main power supply.

You will diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, calibrate pneumatic systems, and maintain maintenance records. Candidates should have 2–3 years of electro-mechanical experience, the ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of electro-mechanical automation system installation & troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine and extensive preventative maintenance and repair procedures on electrical and mechanical systems involving production equipment and plant systems.
• Performs minor and major repair of all buildings and equipment.
• Repairs electrical equipment/systems and control circuits; including Three Phase Motors and PLC applications.
• Must have working knowledge of relay logic and PLC troubleshooting in production equipment.
• May operate a computer which controls and monitors mechanical equipment and utility systems.
• Calibrates and repairs pneumatic systems and other mechanical systems on production equipment to ensure optimum performance.
• Maintains records of scheduled maintenance procedures.
