Component Lifecycle Management

  • Lead Engineering Change Notices (ECNs/ECOs) to update drawings, BOMs, and documentation.
  • Work with cross‑functional teams to communicate and implement design changes that improve quality, cost, reliability, or manufacturability.
  • Manage component obsolescence by qualifying replacement parts, validating alternates, and ensuring functional compatibility with suppliers.
  • Develop test plans and verification methods for redesigns or component updates.
  • Validate that changes maintain or improve product performance, reliability, and compliance with applicable standards.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, component standardization, and design simplification.
  • Improve manufacturability (DFM) and serviceability (DFS) for existing product lines.
  • Support ongoing process improvement within the engineering team.
  • Provide rapid engineering support for manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and field service teams, including production line issue resolution.

Documentation Control

  • Maintain accurate engineering data, including CAD models, drawings, wiring diagrams, and product configurations.
  • Ensure design intent is accurately captured and maintained within CAD, PLM, and ERP systems.

Reliability, Safety & Compliance

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Need to have good analytical skills. Need to be able to organize data into a summary form to justify courses of action, build baseline measures, and track improvements. Need to have excellent problem‑solving skills
