Job summary

C4 Advanced Tactical Systems, LLC (CATS) is seeking an Electro/Mechanical assembler to join our Florida facility. The role involves assembling chassis components, electro-optic and electronic assemblies from documentation and specifications in a clean-room manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of electrical/mechanical assembly experience, AS degree or equivalent electronics education, and certification per J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 & IPC/WHMA-A-620.

Qualifications

  • AS degree (preferred) or other formal education in electronics.
  • Minimum of 3 years Electrical/Mechanical assembly experience, to include wiring.
  • Certification in high reliability electronic assembly processes, per J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 & IPC/WHMA-A-620.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble products or sub-assemblies in a clean room environment per instructions or drawings.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools and production equipment including testing equipment (oscilloscopes, pulse generators, meters, power supplies, network analyzers).
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics; perform wiring and assembly to IPC Class 3 standards.
  • Record labor hours and traceability data into databases to comply with AS9100.
  • Support other technicians to improve processes and efficiency.

C4 Advanced Tactical Systems, LLC (CATS) is a certified Build to Print, U.S. manufacturer specializing in complex and precision products. We provide many services including manufacturing, integration/testing, environmental testing, quality assurance, and logistics services.

Our primary focus is on quality and customer satisfaction. We are ITAR compliant and welcome FMF contracts and pass-through procurement for U.S. origin products.

CATS 90,000 square foot modern facility is in Central Florida, minutes from Orlando International Airport. Our facility includes a spacious office area, five production clean rooms, high-bay area and ERP integrated warehouse.

Job Summary

Testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and inspection of Electro/Mechanical assemblies. Assemble Chassis Components, Electro-optic, and Electronic Assemblies from various forms of documentation and quality or engineering specifications, utilizing proper tools, equipment, and processes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assembling products or sub-assemblies in a clean room manufacturing environment, according to verbal or written instructions or by following drawings, procedures, wiring lists or set operating procedures.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, and/or production equipment to include manual and automated testing equipment such as:
    • Oscilloscopes
    • Pulse generators
    • Meters
    • Power supplies
    • Network analyzers
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Working and performing a wide variety of electronic, mechanical, and/or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies, in small scale.
  • Assemble Printed Circuit Boards, connectors and other components into housings and make required interconnections using soldering both THT and SMT devices, wire crimping, and other techniques as specified to IPC Class 3 standards.
  • Fabricate Cable assemblies using soldering, wire crimping, and other techniques as required to IPC /WHMA-A-620, Class 3 standards.
  • Accurately record information, traceability requirements, labor hours, and other statistics, into computer databases to comply with customer and AS9100 requirements.
  • Assist other technicians/teammates, as required, with assembly processes and tasks.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to work as an active team member, constantly looking to improve processes to increase efficiency and dependability in the Mil Spec products produced.

Education and/or Experience
  • AS degree (preferred) or other formal education in electronics.
  • Minimum of 3 years Electrical/Mechanical assembly experience, to include wiring.
  • Certification in high reliability electronic assembly processes, per J-STD-001, IPC-A-610 & IPC/WHMA-A-620.
Basic Employment Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, capable of multitasking and have high attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret various forms of assembly documentation.
  • Ability to handle materials safely and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US and be eligible to obtain a passport.
  • Must pass Security background screening process.
  • Must be able to work over-time as needed.
