Econolite in San Diego, CA is seeking an Electro-mechanical Assembler for full-time, non-exempt work. The role involves assembling electronic and mechanical components, installing software, and testing traffic controller products.

Candidates should have 2+ years of electro-mechanical assembly experience and be comfortable handling electronics parts and tools. Strong focus on quality and following manufacturing procedures, with overtime availability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in electro-mechanical assembly and testing.
• Knowledge of ESD best practices.
• IPC 620 certification preferred.
• Dexterity with hand and power tools.
• Ability to follow written procedures.
• Team-oriented with good communication.
• Overtime availability, sometimes on short notice.
• Experience with environmental test chambers is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electro-mechanical components for traffic controllers and circuit boards.
• Install software and run diagnostics from computer to controller.
• Perform bench testing and environmental stress screening of products.
• Report failures or issues encountered.
• Use ShopVue productivity monitoring system.
• Print labels for traffic controllers and other electronic products.
• Package and verify products for dispatch.
• Inspect electrical and mechanical parts of products.
• Maintain a clean, organized 5S work area.
