Job summary

The DAVIS Companies is seeking a detail-driven Electro-Mechanical Assembler in Suwanee, GA. This contract-to-hire role involves wiring, assembly of through-hole and surface mount components, and building complex units from schematics and blueprints.

You will read blueprints, inspect and test assemblies, and work with hand and power tools to meet specifications. Requires IPC 610 knowledge, soldering experience, and basic computer skills; schedule is M–F 7:00 AM–3:30 PM with $22–$25 hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience in the assembly of electronic assemblies.
• Ability to understand and execute CircuitCam and work instructions.
• Knowledge of IPC 610 (Class 1, Class 2, and Class 3).
• Experience with lead and lead-free solder applications.
• Understanding of ESD requirements.
• Ability to use and identify hand and power tools, including torque drivers, wrenches, screwdrivers, wire cutters, and nut drivers.
• Basic working knowledge and experience with computers.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and self-motivation skills.

Responsibilities

• Solder cables to connectors with precision and care.
• Assemble through-hole and surface mount assemblies.
• Build complex mechanical assemblies from schematics, blueprints, and wiring lists.
• Read blueprints and specifications to determine component parts and assembly sequences of electromechanical units.
• Position, align, and fasten parts to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames using hand tools and power tools.
• Connect cables, tubes, and wiring according to specifications, and attach name plates and identifying information.
• Inspect, test, and adjust completed units to ensure they meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
• Perform basic functional tests and ICT tests.
• Disassemble units to replace parts or crate them for shipping.
• Interface directly with customers and document recommended solutions to problem areas.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals, and perform other duties as assigned.

Electro-Mechanical Assembler - Contract to Hire
A precision electronics manufacturer in Suwanee, GA is seeking a skilled, detail-driven Mechanical Assembler to join its production team. In this hands-on role, you\'ll perform a wide range of electronic and mechanical assembly operations — soldering cables, building through-hole and surface mount assemblies, and constructing complex mechanical units from blueprints and work instructions.
Pay Rate of the Mechanical Assembler:
$22.00 – $25.00 per hour, depending on experience.
Scheduleof the Mechanical Assembler:
