Job summary

SPT Labtech, a global supplier of automated laboratory equipment, seeks an Electro-Mechanical assembler to join its production team in California. You will assemble parts using hand tools, read detailed assembly drawings, and help construct instruments while ensuring high quality standards and on-time delivery.

• Must have strong Electro-Mechanical assembly experience with precise hand tool use.
• Able to read and interpret electro-mechanical assembly drawings/instructions.
• Demonstrates good time management and meets deadlines.
• Shows commitment to quality and thorough troubleshooting.
• Works well in a team but can also work independently.
• Mandarin knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts per drawings with hand tools.
• Assist in constructing instruments.
• Ensure assemblies meet quality standards set by the company.
• Prepare cables, harnesses, and connect electrical components.
• Install firmware, drivers and apps as required.
• Perform QC checks, troubleshooting, tests and software verification.
• Provide production updates to the Production Manager.
• Coordinate multiple tasks with tight deadlines.

• Collaborate effectively with others and perform other production duties.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assemble parts according to assembly instructions / drawing with hand tools.
• Assist in constructing instruments.
• Ensure the assembly is good and met the quality level set up by the company.
• Prepare cables assemblies and harness to connect electrical components.
• Install firmware, drivers & apps.
• Perform QC checks, trouble-shoot, run tests and software verification.
• Provide production status and updates to Production Manager.
• Ability to coordinate and manage multiple tasks with short deadlines.
• Self-motivated and a quick learner.
• Highly organized and professional.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Other production related services.
• Collect parts.
• Other duties as needed.

• Good experience on using hand tools for Electro-Mechanical assembly.
• Able to read and understand electro-mechanical assembly instruction / drawing.
• Good time management and understand the importance of deadline.
• Recognize the importance of quality.
• Good troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of Verbal Chinese (Mandarin) a plus.
• 4+ years of Electro-Mechanical Assembly experience.
