Job summary

Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembler in Chesapeake, VA. The role involves assembling system and sub-assembly level electronic components and small gauge wires, following Mil standard drawings, with upgrades and repairs as directed.

Applicants should read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, wire lists and connector pinouts. Soldering and crimping are essential, with basic hand tools and solder irons required; IPC and J-STD standards knowledge

Qualifications

Able to follow written and verbal directions.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, wire lists and connector pinouts.
Experience with mechanical and electrical assembly of complex Navy shipboard assemblies.
Soldering experience is required; solder certifications preferred.
Knowledge of IPC-A-620 Wire and Cable Requirements and J-STD-001; IPC-A-610 soldering requirements a plus.
Experience building harnesses is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform system and sub-assembly level electronic component builds and small gauge wire builds.
Perform upgrades and repairs following assembly instructions and Mil standard drawings.
