Job summary

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company in Moorpark, CA is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Assembler to join our production team. The role reports to a Production Supervisor and involves assembling sub-assemblies and finished hardware using hand and automatic shop tools.

Candidates should have at least five years of hands-on electro-mechanical assembly experience, with the ability to work under a microscope, read measuring tools, and perform mechanical and electrical testing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years manufacturing hands-on electro-mechanical assembly experience.
• Experience with small, detailed assemblies.
• Able to work using a microscope.
• Ability to use hand tools and read measuring tools.
• Ability to perform mechanical/electrical testing on products.
• Certified soldering skills per J-STD/NASA a plus.
• Previous experience working in a Class 100,000 and Class 10,000 cleanroom a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of management.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible to work as a team member to complete the required work in each cell.
• Understand and adhere to all policies and procedures, including the Quality Management System.
• Follow all written instructions, work instructions, travelers and procedures when producing hardware
• Understand and adhere to all environmental health and safety guidelines including all safety policies and posted signs.
• Positively log and record material traceability information on travelers and ensure quality requirements are met.
• Maintain a positive attitude and strive to learn new things every day.
• Assemble complex sub-assemblies and finished products using various hand and automatic shop tools.
