Job summary

SCRAM Systems in Ohio is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Assembler I to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble, rework, and test assemblies, subassemblies, components, and systems for the LifeSafer ignition interlock devices and related products.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; 1–3 years related experience.
  • Solid communication skills across organizational levels.
  • Working knowledge of electronics manufacturing and assembly processes.

Responsibilities

  • Read work orders and follow drawings or verbal instructions.
  • Troubleshoot and perform module swaps to repair products.
  • Position and align parts in fixtures.
  • Screw, solder, cement, or press-fit parts to join.
  • Mount components on printed circuit boards.
  • Install finished assemblies in cases and attach hardware.
  • Perform go/no-go testing to ensure quality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Assembles, reworks, and tests assemblies, subassemblies, components, products, or systems.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Reads work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, or receives verbal instructions regarding assembly duties to be performed.
  • Performs troubleshooting and some module swapping in order to repair product
  • Positions and aligns parts in specified relationship to each other in a jig, fixture, or other holding device.
  • Screws, solders, cements, press fits, or performs similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
  • Mounts assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on a printed circuit board.
  • Installs finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases.
  • Assembles and attaches hardware, such as caps, clamps, straps, and switches, to assemblies.
  • Performs network go-not-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
  • Other duties as assigned
Skills/Abilities

Required Experience:

  • Solid communication skills and ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Must have solid practical skills in electronics manufacturing and the ability to use common tools
  • Understanding of assembly process
Education And Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education or training.
  • 2 years related experience desired
