Job summary

AMETEK Process Instruments seeks a mechanical assembler to join our team in the United States. The role involves assembling, modifying, wiring, and adjusting instrument assemblies, following detailed method sheets and documentation.

You will inspect quality, pull spare parts orders, assemble kits, and ship customer orders, with occasional additional duties as needed. The position requires reading blueprints, soldering ability, tube bending, and testing finished products using specialized

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school education or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated computer experience required. Demonstrated ability to solder.
  • Must be able to read blueprints.
  • Must have ability and be able to demonstrate tube bending.
  • Must have ability to test as well as demonstrate finished product testing using special instrumentation.
  • Safety shoes and safety glasses are required.
  • Overtime may be required periodically, both scheduled and unscheduled.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, modify, wire solder, and/or adjust instrument assemblies and/or subassemblies with minimal documentation or finalized design information.
  • Follow method sheets and material handling procedures to prevent part shortages.
  • Perform quality inspection as prescribed by method sheets and pull customer spare parts orders accurately.
  • Assemble kit assemblies and handle packaging and shipping of customer orders.
  • Occasionally perform other duties as necessary.
