ELECTRO-MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER

Location: Boonton, NJ
Shift: 1st Shift Mon-Fri 7 am-3:30 pm
(OT - 6 am - 3:30 pm)
Pay: $17.50/ hr w/ an additional 30% increase for duration of the contract only due to NJ law
**Effective w/e 11/25/2023, all new starts for Boonton will have a 30% increase
to their base pay to cover the client's compensation package. Please inform the contractor that they will lose their 30% increase at conversion but will gain their benefits, including PTO and Holiday pay.

This is due to the new law passed in NJ.

Position Summary

Responsible for assembling various products using mechanical drawings or instructions. This role involves intricate fitting, adjusting, and aligning of parts with close tolerances. You will use hand tools and machines for assembly and follow schedules provided by SAP and management.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire complex equipment using blueprints and models, requiring skilled adjustments within close tolerances.
• Follow work cell procedures or mechanical drawings and product structures.
• Set up, operate, and maintain basic production machines such as engravers, presses, and crimpers.
• Be flexible and perform various operations within and outside the home department.
• Use hand and power tools as needed.
• Build harness assemblies.
• Use computers to monitor and report job status and component availability, and work with prints or instructions in systems like Excel or SAP.
• May perform thru-hole PCB assembly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Work overtime as required.
• Aim to meet quality standards in an ISO environment.
• Follow proper use of PPE to ensure a safe work environment and maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace.

Skills and Experience Required

• 1-3 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience or mechanical assembly with electronic/electrical safety knowledge.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics, and identify components and color schemes.
• Excellent workmanship standards.
• Good verbal communication skills.
