ELECTRO-MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER

Location: Boonton, NJ
Pay $17.50
Hours 7am-3:30pm Monday - Friday Position Summary

Responsible for assembling various products using mechanical drawings or instructions. Requires precise fitting and aligning of parts using hand tools and machines. Follows schedules set by SAP and management.

Position Responsibilities
  • Assemble and wire equipment based on blueprints and models, requiring precise adjustments.
  • Follow procedures or mechanical drawings for product assembly.
  • Operate and maintain production machines like engravers, presses, and crimpers.
  • Perform various operations within and outside the home department.
  • Use hand and power tools as needed.
  • Build harness assemblies.
  • Use computers to monitor job status and manage components, including using Excel or SAP.
  • May perform thru-hole PCB assembly.
  • Complete related tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Work overtime if needed.
  • Meet quality standards in an ISO environment.
  • Use PPEs for safety and follow 5S steps to maintain a clean and safe work area.
Skills and Experience Required
  • 1-3 years of electro-mechanical assembly experience or mechanical assembly with electronic/electrical safety knowledge.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics, and identify components and color schemes.
  • Excellent workmanship standards.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
