Eaton Group in Arden, NC is seeking an Assembler for 1st shift to build and wire control equipment from drawings and specifications, with a starting hourly rate of $19.50. You will prepare parts, cut and strip wires, and assemble sub-assemblies into finished units, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications include mechanical/electrical background, ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams, and the capacity to lift up to 35 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire control equipment from drawings and specifications.
• Determine necessary parts and prepare requisitions to obtain materials from stock.
• Prepare wire for assembly by cutting, stripping, and attaching terminals.
• Route, assemble, wire, adjust and fit sub-assemblies to form completed control assemblies.
• May require lifting, bending, ladder work and other forms of movement.
• Inspect electrical/mechanical performance and adjust as needed to meet quality standards.
• Execute engineering and customer changes and perform repairs as required.
• Report irregularities or equipment malfunctions to supervisor; maintain records.
• Observe safety and hygiene rules; keep work area neat and orderly.
• Operate power tools and use battery-powered and compressed air tools.
