Job summary

Fillauer Motion Control, Salt Lake City is seeking an Assembly / Soldering Technician to build cable and circuit board assemblies used in upper extremity medical products such as electro-mechanical hands, wrists, and elbows.

You will interpret technical documents, follow BOMs, maintain quality standards, and work with basic hand tools, ovens, and heat guns in a safe environment. Join a team committed to patient outcomes and manufacturing excellence.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Soldering equipment experience required; IPC-A-610 knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documents.
  • Willingness to learn and cross-train in high‐complexity areas.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record per policy.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles products using procedures, drawings, and BOMs.
  • Interprets wiring diagrams and other technical documents.
  • Maintains quality standards and inspects workmanship.
  • Verifies quality through defined inspection and test procedures.
  • Identifies defective items and routes per procedures.
  • Resolves manufacturing problems with team or supervisor.
  • Maintains safe, clean work environment per company standards.
  • Uses basic hand tools, fixtures, ovens, heat guns, and light equipment.

Fillauer Motion Control, Salt Lake City is a leading manufacturer of robotic artificial arms used by amputee wearers all over the world. We are seeking an Assembly / Soldering Technician to work in our manufacturing department to build various cable and circuit board assemblies that are used in a variety of upper extremity medical products such as electro-mechanical hands, wrist, and elbows.

Your Impact
  • Assembles products using manufacturing procedures along with mechanical drawings and bills of materials (BOM)
  • Interprets technical documents, such as wiring diagrams, schematics, or other verbal or written instructions
  • Ensures quality standards are met
  • Verifies quality workmanship by following inspection and test procedures
  • Identifies any defective items and handles them according to established quality procedures
  • Resolves manufacturing problems by communicating with peers or supervisor
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with company standards
  • Uses basic hand tools, custom fixtures, ovens, heat guns and other light duty equipment
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Must be experienced using soldering equipment, soldering materials and small hand tools.
  • Knowledge of industry soldering standards, such as IPC-A-610 is an asset.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documents is required.
  • Must have a willingness to learn and be cross trained into areas of high complexity.
  • Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a valid driver’s license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger’s Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures.
