Job summary

EFE Laboratories Inc. builds electro-mechanical panels and enclosures, wiring and assembling multi-component systems. The role focuses on PCB assembly, wiring, hand soldering and following detailed prints and travelers.

The candidate will work with team members to complete projects in a lean manufacturing environment. EFE operates a modern facility with a strong quality culture including AS9100D certification and a broad aerospace, automotive and industrial customer base.

Qualifications

• Experience wiring, crimping, harnessing and layout of multi-component systems.
• Experience with PC Board assembly and hand soldering on small PCB assemblies.
• Ability to read schematics, prints, BOMs and work instructions.
• Knowledge of measurement tools and basic ESD handling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assemble control panels, industrial enclosures and small box assemblies.
• Wire harnessing, crimping and hand soldering of PCB-based assemblies.
• Follow prints, BOMs, travelers and work instructions to complete builds.
• Adhere to IPC 610/620/JSTD standards and Lean manufacturing practices.

Job description

Panel Builds/Box Builds - Looking for a candidate that enjoys the challenge of being exposed to many different types of electro-mechanical assemblies including control panels, industrial enclosure builds, and small box wired assemblies. Candidate is a motivated self-starter who can think outside the box.

Preferred Skill Set

• Solid skills in all aspects of wiring, crimping, wire harnessing, and layout of multi-component systems.
• Experience with PC Board assembly
• Knowledge and proficiency with hand tools
• Hand soldering skills for small PCB based assemblies.
• Ability to understand basic schematics and assembly documentation including prints, drawings, bills of material, work order travelers, and work instructions.
• Knowledge of effective use of measurement tools.
• Understand basic ESD (electro-static discharge) handling requirements.
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment to get projects accomplished and pride in a job well done.
• Experience from automotive/aerospace/medical device industries in the manufacture of mechanical assemblies is a plus.
• Experience with basic machining equipment is a plus.
• IPC 610/620/JSTD or equivalent certifications are a plus.
• Understanding of ISO/AS9100 processes and the development of work instructions in a Lean Manufacturing context is desirable.

This is a full-time position. Work hours are 7AM-3:30PM M-F.
