Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an AMO Technician – Mechanic I to support complaint investigation and resolution for electro‑mechanical equipment. You will diagnose faults, follow procedures, and use diagnostic tools to drive effective corrective actions.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, equipment reliability, and collaboration with maintenance teams to ensure safe, reliable operations while supporting shift work including 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant electro‑mechanical industrial experience.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems (AC/DC) and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and follow procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and testing instruments.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Certifications such as A/C, Electrical Maintenance, or Stationary Engineer are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve equipment‑related complaints following maintenance procedures.
• Read wiring diagrams, assembly prints, and parts lists.
• Support maintenance activities while following safety practices.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits and electro‑mechanical systems to identify root causes.
• Use diagnostic tools (multimeters, megohmmeters, hi‑pot testers).
• Support electrical maintenance on 3‑phase (480V) and single‑phase (120V) systems.
• Assist in inspection and repair to ensure reliability and complaint closure.
• Maintain documentation of complaints, findings, and corrective actions.
• Utilize basic computer systems for reporting and tracking maintenance activities.
