Job summary

Alcon in Johns Creek, GA is seeking an Associate I, Electromechanical Technical Support to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on production equipment. You will work on mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and control systems, collaborating with production teams to minimize downtime.

The role requires a high school diploma, 1 year of relevant experience, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1 Year of Relevant Experience.
• Work hours: 36 - 48 hours per week, 12-hour rotating night shift (6:30 PM–6:30 AM).
• Location: Onsite.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, repairing, and preventative and corrective maintenance for all production equipment (mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and control systems).
• Assisting other team members with technical problems.
• Assist in parts repair shop and SOP development.
• Optimize equipment and processes to improve quality, output, yield, and cost reduction.
• Assist with validation protocols.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, repairing, and performing preventative and corrective maintenance for all production equipment including technical problems in mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and control systems
• Assisting others with technical problems on within the team including production personnel
• Assisting in parts repair shop to rebuild and restore used parts as an "as built" condition adding to the annual cost avoidance total
• Assisting with improvements to the maintenance systems (Preventative, Corrective, Predictive, and Spare Parts)
• Assisting with technical projects for equipment retrofits and upgrades, and with revising or writing SOPs and shop repair instructions
• Optimizing manufacturing equipment and processes to provide balanced gains in product quality, output, product yield, and cost reduction
• Assisting with completing validation protocols

What You’ll Bring to Alcon

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• 1 Year of Relevant Experience
• Work hours: 36 - 48 hours per week: 6:30 PM EST - 6:30 AM EST (12-hour rotating night shift: 2 nights on, 2 nights off, and every other weekend)

Preferred Qualifications / Skills / Experience

• Industrial Maintenance Experience
• Experience troubleshooting & repairing production equipment
• A related technical school certification or equivalent training or experience (e.g. manufacturing technology, electrical engineering, etc.)
