Job summary

Marathon Cheese Corporation in Mountain Home, Idaho, is seeking an Electro Mechanical Technician to support state-of-the-art packaging equipment, robots, PLCs, and ladder logic.

You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on high-speed cheese packaging lines, provide production-floor support, and assist with installing new equipment as needed. Welding/machining experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• High mechanical aptitude and ability to read/write English.
• Basic math skills; PLCs and ladder logic are preferred but not required.
• Ability to work as part of a team and take constructive feedback.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to troubleshoot and fix mechanical and electrical problems on high-speed cheese packaging lines.
• Willing to assist installing new and exciting equipment regularly.
• Ability to do some stainless steel welding and machining experience is a plus but not a requirement.

Knowledge/Skills Required

• Possess a high mechanical aptitude, be able to read and write English and solve basic math problems. Knowledge of PLC’s and ladder logic is not required, but preferred.

• Responsible for maintaining a professional image with customers, peers, supervisors and the public.
• Good organizational and communication skills.

Education & Experience

Associate’s Degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, or five or more years of experience in a similar manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions

Work inside a clean manufacturing environment. Required to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, and lift up to 75 pounds.
