Job summary

Xanterra Travel Collection is seeking an Electrician for Yellowstone National Park in a seasonal capacity. The role involves operating, testing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems, ensuring safety and compliance, and coordinating with the team to manage inventory and documentation.

The position supports preventive maintenance, with typical 40-hour weeks, and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate, test, maintain and repair electrical systems in Xantrerra facilities.
• Ensure all installations/repairs meet electrical code requirements.
• Document labor and materials in the CMMS system accurately.
• Assist in seasonal opening/closing of facilities.
• Help develop and improve preventive maintenance procedures for electrical equipment.

Job Summary:

The Electrician position involves coordinating the operation and maintenance of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and collaborating with various team members to manage inventory and documentation. The role requires adherence to company policies, effective communication, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment while performing preventive maintenance and inspections. Additionally, the position emphasizes teamwork and accountability in all assigned tasks.

The Details:

• Position Type: Seasonal
• Season Dates: June 2026 – November 2026 (Actual season dates vary depending on location)
• Pay:$25.00 – $30.05/hour
• Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the proper operation, testing, maintenance and repair of electrical systems in Xantrerra facilities.
• Ensures all electrical installations, repairs and replacements meet the applicable electrical code.
• Accountable for proper and accurate documentation, in the Computerized Maintenance Management System, of labor & materials expended in the performance of electrical maintenance.
• Provides assistance and oversight for the seasonal opening/closing of all facilities.
• Assists in the development and continuous improvement of preventive maintenance procedures for electrical equipment and systems.

Qualifications

• Aptitude required to complete common electrical repairs.
• Proficient in the operation and use of common electrical repair equipment and tools.
• Have a general knowledge of OSHA requirements and the use of personal protective equipment.
• Ability to read, understand and comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Capable of and willing to advance his or her electrical knowledge and expertise through on-the-job training and self-study.
• Must be at least 19 years old and have valid driver’s license; good driving record required.

Physical Requirements include:

• This position may require the use of respiratory protection and will require compliance with applicable regulations.
• Ability to walk long distances over uneven terrain and climb stairs and ladders in all types of weather conditions.
• Capable of lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Physical stamina and condition to withstand heavy labor related work in an outside environment.
• Standing, bending, kneeling, crawling, for extended periods of time are required.
