Job summary

Vertiv in Pelzer, SC is seeking a skilled Electrician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and manuals to complete work accurately.

Must comply with OSHA and NEC codes while maintaining clean, organized work areas. You will perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and document maintenance and parts usage

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical certification or associate degree in electrical or industrial maintenance preferred.
• Licensed Electrician in South Carolina or ability to obtain license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical systems, wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with local codes and company standards.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and manuals to complete work accurately.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or necessary repairs, ensuring compliance with safety codes.
• Perform preventive maintenance on production and facility electrical systems to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support operational efficiency.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NEC, and company safety procedures at all times.
• Document maintenance, repair activities, and parts usage in maintenance management systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending upgrades to electrical systems or processes.

Physical & Work Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb ladders for extended periods.


• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.


• Exposure to manufacturing environments with varying noise levels, temperatures, and machinery.
