Job summary

Bergelectric is seeking an Electrician Trainee to assist licensed electricians in installing, repairing and testing electrical systems across commercial, industrial, and residential sites. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to codes, and active learning under supervision.

This entry-level position requires enrollment in an approved Electrician Trainee program, knowledge of electrical theory, and the ability to read one-line blueprints.

Qualifications

• Currently an Electrician Trainee enrolled or working on enrollment in an approved program per state regulations.
• Knowledge of electrical theory, basic circuits, branch circuits and specialty systems.
• Knowledge of magnetic induction, three-phase transformers, conductors and wiring methods.
• Ability to read and understand electrical single line blueprints.
• Familiar with operation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems.
• Knowledge of tools and equipment and how to safely use them.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, repair, maintenance and testing of electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.
• Use industry hand and power tools under supervision.
• Assist Electrician with measuring, cutting, bending, threading and installing wire and conduits.
• Support wiring in control centers, distribution boxes, transformers, switchgear, and receptacles.
• Collaborate with Electrician to splice and terminate wires at junction points.
• Assist with material handling and site cleanup to maintain productivity.
• Communicate effectively with foremen and crew members to meet schedules.
