Job description

HVAC Electrician Technician

Shift: 1st Shift, Mon - Fri 7:00 - 3:30

Required skills:

• Test electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment.
• Comply with all applicable standards, policies, or procedures, such as safety procedures or the maintenance of a clean work area.
• Study blueprints, design specifications, or manufacturers' recommendations to ascertain the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components and to ensure the proper installation of components.
• Adjust system controls to settings recommended by manufacturer to balance system.
• Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions.
• Install equipment and components.
• Record and report time, materials, faults, deficiencies, or other unusual occurrences on work orders.
• Keep records of repairs and replacements made and causes of malfunctions.
• Test pipes, lines, components, and connections for leaks.
• Perform essential functions of role.

Responsibilities and Working Conditions:

• Work a 40-hour week, 7 am - 3:30 pm, with possible overtime.

• Read measurements accurately.
• Commute to and from work.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong language skills.
• Ability to read a tape measure/rule and use hand tools.
• Ability to lift panels weighing up to 75 lbs.
• Experience in building control panels, including:
• Pulling parts from inventory.
• Layout parts on the back panel.
• Drilling and tapping back panels to mount parts.
• Following wiring diagrams to wire control panel parts.
• Layout of the control panel front door.
• Drilling and punching holes on the door to mount operators.
• Wiring operators.
• Labeling panels and parts.
