HVAC Electrician Technician
Shift: 1st Shift, Mon - Fri 7:00 - 3:30
Required skills:
- Test electrical circuits or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment.
- Comply with all applicable standards, policies, or procedures, such as safety procedures or the maintenance of a clean work area.
- Study blueprints, design specifications, or manufacturers' recommendations to ascertain the configuration of heating or cooling equipment components and to ensure the proper installation of components.
- Adjust system controls to settings recommended by manufacturer to balance system.
- Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions.
- Install equipment and components.
- Record and report time, materials, faults, deficiencies, or other unusual occurrences on work orders.
- Keep records of repairs and replacements made and causes of malfunctions.
- Test pipes, lines, components, and connections for leaks.
- Perform essential functions of role.
Responsibilities and Working Conditions:
- Accountable for outcomes and results.
- Require standing for extended periods.
- Work in cramped spaces and awkward positions.
- Operate in environments with noise levels that are not distracting.
- Work a 40-hour week, 7 am - 3:30 pm, with possible overtime.
- Repeat tasks consistently.
- Work indoors and outdoors.
- Perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Listen effectively and follow directions accurately.
- Lift up to 50 pounds.
- Read measurements accurately.
- Commute to and from work.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area following 5S principles and responsible safety practices.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong language skills.
- Ability to read a tape measure/rule and use hand tools.
- Ability to lift panels weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Experience in building control panels, including:
- Pulling parts from inventory.
- Layout parts on the back panel.
- Drilling and tapping back panels to mount parts.
- Following wiring diagrams to wire control panel parts.
- Layout of the control panel front door.
- Drilling and punching holes on the door to mount operators.
- Wiring operators.
- Labeling panels and parts.
