This vacancy is for an Electrician Supervisor in the Office of Facilities and Environmental Quality within the Department of Commerce.

Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C and evaluated under OPM Federal Wage System Qualification Standards.

EXPERIENCE: A specific length of training and experience is not required, but you must show evidence of training or experience of sufficient scope and quality of your ability to do the work of this position. Evidence that demonstrates you possess the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties of this position must be supported by detailed descriptions of such on your resume.

Your qualifications will first be evaluated against the prescribed screen-out element, which appears as a question in the online questionnaire. Applicants who appear to possess at least the minimum acceptable level of the screen-out are given further consideration, and those who do not are rated ineligible and are eliminated. Your qualifications will be evaluated against the following screen-out:

Oversee the installation, inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and equipment; diagnose and correct electrical problems. Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and established maintenance standards.
