Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) is seeking an Electrician Maintenance to install, maintain, and repair a range of electrical systems and equipment. You will interpret blueprints, perform troubleshooting, and ensure compliance with codes and safety standards in a dynamic, mission-driven environment.

Job Title: Electrician Maintenance

Labor Category: Full-Time | Non-Exempt (CBA - Union)

Pay Rate: $27.41 per hour

Health & Welfare: $5.56 per hour

About the Role

This role will be responsible for a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment, distribution, lighting, or utilization of electric energy.

What You'll Be Doing

• Install, maintain, and repair a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, and conduit systems.
• Review and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, layouts, and specifications to plan and assign work effectively.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Perform calculations related to electrical loads, wiring requirements, and system performance.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
• Ensure work areas are cleaned and restored after maintenance tasks are completed.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

What We're Looking For

• Must be knowledgeable of national and local electrical codes
• Must be able to use hand tools, power tools, and appliances needed for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical circuits, related fixtures, and hardware.
• Active state or local electrician licensure (Journeyman or Master Electrician) as required for this position.
• Follow maintenance instructions, schedules and inspection of work orders and other job assignments.
• Perform maintenance services, diagnose systems or equipment malfunctions, and complete repairs when required.
• Must have knowledge of the composition, operation, and installation of a variety of electrical systems, circuits, equipment, and controls.
• Plan, layout, and complete the installation, modification, and repair of various electrical systems, circuits, equipment, and controls.
• Interpret and apply building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings. Must be skilled in the use of a wide variety of test equipment such as voltmeter, ammeter, wattmeter, and ohmmeter.
• Maintain ability to access government worksite.
• Possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift 50 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work from a scissor lift and/or articulating boom lift.
• Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
• Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around various hazards with appropriate PPE

US Pay Range

$28.71 - $28.71 USD
