Job summary

Shaw Industries seeks an Electrician Senior Intermediate (III) for night shift to maintain electrical and control systems across our manufacturing floor. Qualifications

Electrician Senior Intermediate (III) - Night Shift

Position Overview
Position Purpose

The Electrician Senior Intermediate (III) maintains, troubleshoots, and improves electrical systems and production equipment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and cost efficiency across assigned manufacturing areas. This role provides advanced electrical support, develops detailed job plans, and mentors lower‑level electricians to improve overall plant performance and technical capability.

Position Duties & Tasks
  • Maintain Electrical & Control Systems
Provide Advanced Maintenance On Process And Support Equipment Including
  • MCCs, motors, inverters, Converters, Reactors, and power distribution components
  • PLCs, robotics, drives, and associated automation systems
  • Troubleshoot & Execute Repairs
Identify, diagnose, and repair complex issues impacting safety, quality, or productivity:
  • Distinguish between mechanical, electrical, process, and product-related issues
  • Provide detailed findings and root-cause information to operations and maintenance leadership
  • Recommend and verify necessary updates to electrical schematics and documentation
  • Perform Proactive Maintenance
Lead And Execute PM And CM Activities
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform inspections, measurements, and adjustments according to specifications and schedules.
  • Condition Maintenance: Repair/replace components based on PM or PdM results. Develop detailed job plans and request updates to schematics as required.
  • Support Projects & Process Improvements

Qualifications
Required
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of Electrician Intermediate (II) requirements (DOS)
  • Previous electrical experience

Preferred
  • 3-4 years of electrical experience in manufacturing
  • Industrial electrical certification or technical school coursework
  • Advanced training in PLCs, VFDs, robotics, or automation
