Shaw Industries Ltd in Chickamauga, GA seeks an Electrician Senior Intermediate (III) for the night shift to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve electrical systems and production equipment across assigned manufacturing areas while mentoring junior electricians to raise overall plant capability.

This role focuses on advanced maintenance, PM/CM activities, and support for process improvements, with a rotating 12-hour schedule from 8pm to 8am and strict adherence to OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E safety

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Completion of Electrician Intermediate (II) requirements (DOS).
• Previous electrical experience in manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated proficiency in advanced electrical troubleshooting and PLC hardware.
• Experience with industrial control systems is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Maintain Electrical & Control Systems.
• Provide Advanced Maintenance on Process and Support Equipment including MCCs, motors, inverters, converters, reactors, and power distribution components.
• Troubleshoot & Execute Repairs; identify, diagnose, and repair complex issues impacting safety, quality, or productivity.
• Lead and execute PM and CM activities; perform preventive and condition-based maintenance.
• Execute assigned work orders to support reliability improvements, production, quality, and upgrades.
• Install or replace motors, drives, line reactors, filters, starters, control systems, PLC hardware, and facility electrical systems.

Electrician Senior Intermediate (III) - Night Shift

Position Purpose

The Electrician Senior Intermediate (III) maintains, troubleshoots, and improves electrical systems and production equipment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and cost efficiency across assigned manufacturing areas. This role provides advanced electrical support, develops detailed job plans, and mentors lower‑level electricians to improve overall plant performance and technical capability.

Shift

Rotating 12-hour schedule 8pm-8am

Position Duties & Tasks

• Maintain Electrical & Control Systems

Provide Advanced Maintenance on Process and Support Equipment Including

• MCCs, motors, inverters, Converters, Reactors, and power distribution components
• PLCs, robotics, drives, and associated automation systems
• Troubleshoot & Execute Repairs

Identify, Diagnose, and Repair Complex Issues Impacting Safety, Quality, or Productivity

• Distinguish between mechanical, electrical, process, and product-related issues
• Provide detailed findings and root-cause information to operations and maintenance leadership
• Recommend and verify necessary updates to electrical schematics and documentation
• Perform Proactive Maintenance

Lead and Execute PM and CM Activities

• Preventive Maintenance: Perform inspections, measurements, and adjustments according to specifications and schedules.
• Condition Maintenance: Repair/replace components based on PM or PdM results. Develop detailed job plans and request updates to schematics as required.
• Support Projects & Process Improvements

Execute Assigned Work Orders to Support

Qualifications

Required

12 Hr rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Act Calendar, shift starts PM, days change only
